Privacy policy

Tukka operates Who Said What at who-said-what.tukka.dev. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the site. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email contact[at]tukka[dot]dev.

1. Your recordings. There are no accounts. The file you choose is opened by your browser and transcribed there, by speech and speaker models running on your own computer. The audio, the transcript and the speaker names you type are never sent to us or anyone else. They are gone when you close or reload the page, unless you save an export.
2. The models. On your first visit, your browser downloads the models from our file storage at cdn.tukka.dev and keeps a copy in its own storage, so later visits don't download them again. Clearing the site's data removes them.
3. Browser storage. Besides the models, your browser's local storage keeps one random ID for analytics. It is not tied to your name or your device. Clearing the site's data removes it.
4. Analytics. Our own analytics counts visits using that random ID, the page visited, the referring site, the country worked out from your IP address, and your browser, operating system and device type. These records are kept for 40 days and then deleted. The IP address itself is not stored. There are no ads and no third-party trackers.
5. Service providers. Our server is hosted in France. Cloudflare delivers and protects the site and the model files, and may process network information to do so, including in other countries. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to deal with abuse.
6. Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to its use, or complain to your data protection authority. Since we keep almost nothing, there is usually nothing to hand over.
7. Changes. We'll update this page and its date when anything here changes. This policy covers Who Said What only.
